My son, who is in Year 5, has just started walking in with a friend one day a week. We walk behind with his sister, monitoring road crossing from a distance. He and his friend really enjoy this step towards independence.

Please tell us about your journey and why you make these transport choices:

We live a 10 minute walk from school so it’s easy to walk/scoot most days. I work in Lymm part of the week, so usually drive the kids on one day a week on the way to work. We try to park farther away and walk a few minutes.
